Booklet Printing

Booklets

We have the perfect solution for printing your annual reports, magazines, brochures and other booklets - saddle stitched books.

Saddle stitched means binding pages together using staples (known as stitches) along the spine. This is a straightforward technique for documents up to 64 printed pages, giving you a professional finish with sharp, vibrant colour at a low price. We also square off the spine for an even better finish on books with more than 40 printed pages, to stop booklets from “springing open”.

All saddle-stitched books must be created in multiples of 4 pages, counting each page as you would in a normal page numbered book. Thus, a single page folded in half becomes a 4-page “book” and so on.

We have a great range of high-quality papers for you to choose from, including a broad selection of luxury papers. Choose heavier stock for the cover, with a choice of matt or gloss lamination for added strength. Choose a lighter stock for inner text pages (and for more than 28 pages, 130gsm or lighter to stop your document springing open).

PUR Binding

PUR Perfect Binding

We offer PUR binding for our perfect bound books. If your document is between 40 and 600 pages, PUR binding could be your perfect solution. With Perfect book binding, we stack all the printed pages in a block and square them off. Then the pages are PUR glued together along the spine with extremely strong adhesive. The remaining three edges are then trimmed so that the edges of the block are perfectly neat. The printed cover is then wrapped around and glued on to the spine as well.

Gluelue – Strong, durable, flexible

The adhesive is very tolerant to both high and low temperatures. It’s also extremely flexible, so your spine won’t crack or the pages fall out when the book is opened wide.

Wire Binding

Wire Binding

Wire bound, or wiro bound, booklets are made by binding pages together with a silver-coloured coil. First of all, singles pages are stacked up, then holes are punched into the pages down the binding edge. We’ll then feed a silver coloured wire through the holes.

You can choose to bind the long edge or the short edge, which will create a portrait or landscape booklet respectively.

Because of their sturdy wire, wire bound booklets are a popular option for long-life books like manuals, reports and reference materials. As the wire allows you to lay the booklet completely flat, they’re also great for instructional documents.
